The Legislative Task Force of the Earl Carl Institute at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law and the Mickey Leland Center partnered with the Houston chapter of the NAACP and the Houston Area Urban League to convene a community wide town hall meeting on “The State of Black Houston Now” at the Barbara Jordan–Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs.
I served as the chair of the Legislative Task Force of the Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy and associate director of the Mickey Leland Center on World Hunger and Peace.
